Diversity Week in Puerto Vallarta kicked off Thursday night with drag, electronic music, showtunes and more at a special stage set up next to the gay bar district at Lazaro Cardenas and Ignacio Vallarta.

The "Voces del Orgullo" awards program will hold its third annual ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, relocating to Jalisco’s premier coastal destination after hosting its previous two editions in Mexico City. Created by media producer Quique Galdeano in partnership with LGBTQ+ media outlet Escándala, the nonprofit program honors grassroots leaders, activists and community advocates who have made substantial contributions to sexual and gender diversity causes across Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta singer Patriz, 20, will compete Aug. 3-4 at Coco Cabaret as one of 28 finalists from across Mexico in the Karaoke World Championships (KWC) National Finals. The winner will represent Mexico at the KWC International Finals in Las Vegas in October.

State tourism officials confirmed that Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas will perform in Puerto Vallarta at 9 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026. The five-month gastronomic event will run from July 1 to Oct. 31, 2026, at various restaurants and hotels across Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas. Participating venues will offer discounted menu packages to drive business during the destination's low season, while boosting promotion and raising hospitality standards across the region's food and beverage industry.

The municipality of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, is gearing up for its fifth annual LGBTQ+ Pride festival on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Activities will kick off with the Pride parade at the entrance of the town of San Vicente starting at 4 p.m. This year's special guest is the popular Nayarit drag queen Nayla Downs, winner of Season 7 of the Mexican drag competition La Más Draga.

Sayulita Comunidad Diversa has announced the official lineup for Sayulita Pride 2026, a weekend-long festival running from Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, in the designated Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town).
