Tom Finley and Mike Laking, owner and director of Frida Bar y Restaurante respectively, are delighted to invite the entire Puerto Vallarta community to celebrate the bar’s 25th anniversary. As one of the most iconic and longest-running LGBTQ+ establishments in the Zona Romántica, the celebration will take place all day long on June 1, 2026.
Billed as the venue’s “biggest celebration of the year,” the hosts and staff of Frida Bar y Restaurante have lined up the following promotions and surprises to ensure the event is accessible to everyone:
- Tequila shots: $25 pesos
- Sliders: $50 pesos
- 2-for-1 beer: All day long
- Mariachi & Cake: Starting at 11 p.m.
A Message from the Founder
Owner and founder Tom Finley shared his thoughts on the milestone:
“25 years gone by in a flash of an eye! I want to thank everyone for all the support through the years full of happiness and sorrow. A special thank you to my wonderful staff and I am looking forward to many more years to come, Bar Frida y Restaurante. Much more than a bar… a tradition for 25 years!”
Frida Bar & Restaurant first opened its doors on Lázaro Cárdenas Street in 2001. Over the course of its history, the venue has changed locations five times. It is currently located at Francisco I.
