State tourism officials announced that Grammy-winning Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas will perform a free concert Friday, June 19, at Puerto Vallarta’s Vibra Jalisco Fan Zone, adding one of the country’s most acclaimed artists to the city’s ongoing FIFA World Cup celebrations.
The free concert will happen on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 9 p.m. at the Vibra Jalisco Fan Zone installation, located on the Pensiones de Jalisco grounds next to the Sheraton Hotel and across from the Agustin Flores Contreras Sports Complex. The event is part of the activities celebrating Mexico as one of the host countries of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Venegas is an acclaimed Mexican American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Born in California but raised in Tijuana, she is a pillar of Spanish-language pop and alternative music. She is famous for hits such as “Me Voy,” “Limon y Sal” and “Andar Conmigo,” and is well-known for her use of the accordion and her intimate lyrics.
The singer began her career in the 1990s playing ska music with the band Tijuana No! Since her solo debut in 1997, she has released multiple critically acclaimed albums. Throughout her career, she has won numerous international awards, including Grammy and Latin Grammy awards.
In addition to this concert, the Vibra Jalisco Fan Zone is hosting screenings of the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, as well as concerts by other artists, including Ximena Sariñana on June 4. The venue is also home to the Domosfera Puerto Vallarta, an immersive experience inside a sphere featuring graphic projections.
