After weeks of competition at La Catrina Cantina and two full days at Coco Cabaret singing with 27 of Mexico’s finest voices, Losanna was chosen to represent Mexico this fall in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the KWC Global Music Contest.
The star of ‘Selena’ at The Palm Cabaret last season and co-producer of ‘Pink’ with Eva Jimenez, Losanna’s jaw actually dropped in surprise when producer Yudi Villamonte announced her as the winner. Losanna’s son rushed onto the stage, his face covered in happy tears, to hug his mom.

On Day Two at Coco Cabaret, all 28 contestants were required to sing a song in Spanish, then the five finalists were chosen. Then, those five had to sing a power ballad. Losanna, resplendent in black sequins, chose a song from Mentiras, the longest-running musical in Mexico.
The stage was loaded for the finale with all 28 contestants from Mexico City to Guadalajara, Veracruz to Sonora, and several singers from Puerto Vallarta and nearby Nayarit. Each contestant was recognized for their participation. The four judges joined Yudi Villamonte and host Alberto Ponce, and the winner of the all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas was announced. The audience almost immediately began to chant, ”Lo-san-na! Lo-san-na!” She was gracious in accepting congratulations from everyone – her family, friends, and her new compadres from the contest.
Several costume changes had to be made by all, and Losanna shone above the rest. She will fit right in in Las Vegas!
