The municipality of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, is gearing up for its fifth annual LGBTQ+ Pride festival on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Activities will kick off with the Pride parade at the entrance of the town of San Vicente starting at 4 p.m. This year’s special guest is the popular Nayarit drag queen Nayla Downs, winner of Season 7 of the Mexican drag competition La Más Draga.
Bahía de Banderas Pride 2026 is organized by the Colectivo Bahía Pride Bahía de Banderas, with support from the Municipal Human Rights Commission, CAPASITS Tondoroque, and various annual sponsors. According to the organizers, attendees can look forward to live performances by local talent, additional special guests, and more surprises. Further details regarding the schedule of events will be revealed on Friday, June 5 at 12 p.m. during a press conference broadcast via Facebook Live on the official Colectivo Bahía Pride page, featuring a special appearance by Nayla Downs.
Talk on Homophobia and Hate Crimes While the main event takes place on Saturday, June 6, Bahía de Banderas Pride 2026 will also host an informative virtual talk titled “Orgullo con Historia, con orgullo y con Amor” (Pride with History, Pride, and Love). The session will focus on homophobia and hate crimes, featuring psychologist Paola Irani Delgado, and will stream via Facebook Live on Wednesday, June 3 at 8 p.m. The specialist will lead a dialogue with special guests Ade Vélez and Franco Miranda on this vital topic, which remains one of the LGBTQ+ community’s greatest challenges.
