Puerto Vallarta plays a starring role in “CONFESSIONS,” the new music video from performer and DJ Faith Inferno, who draws on her years living in the city to explore community, self-discovery and the many forms healing can take.
The video follows Inferno as she discovers a mysterious book titled “Tricks for Healing.” As she turns the pages, each chapter transports her to a different location in Puerto Vallarta, where the lesson comes to life.
Filmed throughout Puerto Vallarta, “CONFESSIONS” features locations including Nogalito, Elixir Bar, A Page in the Sun, Parque Lázaro Cárdenas and Mirador de la Cruz. Cinematography is by Mike Roblem.
The result is less a traditional music video than a visual journey through the places and people that shaped Inferno’s experience in Puerto Vallarta.
“In 2021, I moved to Puerto Vallarta looking to slow down. I didn’t know that beautiful bay would give me so much,” Inferno said.
“CONFESSIONS is my love letter to those years. To the ocean’s endless capacity to hold. To the arroyo in Nogalito that cooled my soul. To the queer nightlife scene that gave me a chance. A la comunidad ballroom femenina de Puerto Vallarta bella bella. To everyone who taught me new ways to heal.”
Inferno, who moved to Mexico City in 2024, remains closely connected to Puerto Vallarta. Local audiences may remember her from her work as a DJ and drag performer at venues throughout the city.

Those experiences are reflected in “CONFESSIONS,” which looks beyond the city’s familiar image as a beach and nightlife destination.
“The video isn’t about finding one magical answer,” Inferno said. “It’s about realizing that healing happens in many forms: in flowing like water, in chosen family, in feeling what’s going on in our bodies, and especially on the dance floor.”
That idea is central to the video’s structure. The mysterious book provides a framework for exploring different aspects of healing, while Puerto Vallarta’s landscapes and community become the backdrop.
Inferno said she wanted to show a side of Puerto Vallarta that visitors may not always encounter.

“Beyond the beaches and crazy nightlife, it’s a place where people build community, reinvent themselves, and learn how to heal,” she said.
The video was filmed on July 4, 2026, according to Inferno, and Roblem’s cinematography captures locations ranging from the city’s urban spaces to the natural environment surrounding Nogalito.
Inferno also credited the people and businesses who helped bring the project together, including Roblem, Elixir Bar, A Page in the Sun and Natalia Torres, whom she credits with introducing her to the Nogalito stream and much more.

For Inferno, the project is ultimately about gratitude — and about the lasting impact of a city that became an important chapter in her own life.
“CONFESSIONS” is available to watch on YouTube, with the song available on streaming platforms.
