The world premiere of Drag Race México: Latina Royale will headline Puerto Vallarta’s inaugural Latin Fest Diversity Week, with free concerts, community events and entertainment taking place at an outdoor stage in the Zona Romántica and at the city’s new Domosfera venue from July 30 through Aug. 1.
The three-day festival, scheduled for July 30 through Aug. 1, will feature live performances by Mariana BO, Taiga Brava and Christian Chávez, community awards, and dozens of events hosted by LGBTQ+ businesses throughout Puerto Vallarta.
The opening-night celebration will take place at the intersection of Lázaro Cárdenas and Ignacio L. Vallarta, where organizers will erect an outdoor stage for a red carpet, live performances and a public screening of the premiere episode of Drag Race México: Latina Royale. Additional concerts and festival activities throughout the three-day event will also be held at Domosfera, the city’s new entertainment venue developed for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Carlos Plascencia, Puerto Vallarta’s subdirector of sexual diversity, said the city secured approximately 700,000 pesos in state funding for the inaugural festival and hopes to establish Latin Fest Diversity Week as an annual celebration of diversity, inclusion and LGBTQ+ tourism.
Friday’s schedule includes Voces del Orgullo, an 8 p.m. ceremony recognizing LGBTQ+ activists and community leaders. Plascencia said organizers are working to present two awards of 50,000 pesos each during the event.
Saturday’s festivities will expand throughout the city as bars, restaurants and other LGBTQ+-friendly businesses host parties and special events as part of the official festival program.
The festival is free and open to the public. Organizers said the complete schedule of activities will be released before opening day.
