The organizers of the annual culinary festival Restaurant Week announced details for the event’s 22nd edition during a press conference held at Mesón Ibérico in Marina Vallarta on the morning of Monday, May 4, 2026. The first Diversity Council (Cabildo de la Diversidad) of Puerto Vallarta held its final session, presenting its annual activities report before passing the torch to the second generation of this citizen participation body. The new members will be sworn in on May 17, 2026, coinciding with the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia.

Due to the Downhill & Freestyle 2026 cycling event taking place this Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, the Municipal Government has announced road closures in downtown Puerto Vallarta. The course will run along Aldama Street, from the upper part of the city down to the Malecón.
