Puerto Vallarta is about to get a little bit “cheekier.” The creative minds behind the popular Cheeky Pool Club are preparing to open Cheeky Lounge.
This new venue aims to bring the same vibrant tropical energy as its sister property but in a spacious, air-conditioned, and elevated interior setting. Designed to be a premier destination for the LGBTQI+ community and beyond, the lounge promises a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
Located at Lázaro Cárdenas 311—next to Kooky Karaoke and La Catrina Cantina on the ultimate “bar row” in the Romantic Zone—the venue is currently undergoing rapid renovations. The team is working around the clock to open in the second half of May 2026, perfectly timed for Vallarta Pride (May 17–24).
The layout features an expansive main bar, multiple sofas, lounge areas, high parota wood tables, and a charming back patio for those who prefer an outdoor, natural setting.
For business partners Adam Young, Brian Scott Carey, and Erick Fierro, expanding the Cheeky brand felt like the next logical step.
“We opened Cheeky Pool Club in November 2025 to an exceptional reception,” says Brian. “When this space became available, we knew it was the perfect chance to scale the Cheeky vibe into a lounge experience focused on great conversation, high-quality sound, and top-tier visuals.”
This time, they are joined by friends Jason Mark and Victor Piña, a couple from Dallas now living in Puerto Vallarta.
Driven by their love for the local community, they chose to invest in Cheeky Lounge to provide an inclusive space and give back to the city. Jason is spearheading the creative direction for the audiovisual experience, implementing a sophisticated sound system and large-format screens.
In an exciting move, Jean’s Hamburgers and Salchidogo will relocate from its current location on Basilio Badillo to operate directly out of the Cheeky Lounge kitchen. The menu will feature their famous burgers and hot dogs alongside pool club classics like paninis, chicken quesadillas, and chips with guacamole.
The drink menu will include fan favorites like frozen rosé, pink piña coladas, and cold beer, plus new signature cocktails and mocktails—all served by a “sexy and friendly” staff.
A Versatile Space for Day and Night
The venue is designed with the guest experience in mind. “We’re thinking about everything we personally love in a bar and bringing it to life here,” Adam notes. Erick is adding his signature touch with lush greenery throughout the space and highlights the back patio as an intimate spot for private celebrations, birthdays, and special events. The lounge also features a small stage for future live entertainment.
To maximize the guest experience, Erick says there will be frequent cross-promotions and events between Cheeky Pool Club and Cheeky Lounge, offering seamless entertainment from day to night.
