In a important step for local environmentalism and community visibility, Puerto Vallarta’s Sub-Directorate of Sexual Diversity has officially adopted the beach area surrounding the iconic “El Caballito” (The Seahorse) sculpture at Los Muertos Beach.

The Bahía de Banderas Pride 2026 took place on the afternoon of Saturday, June 6, 2026. Organized by the Colectivo Bahía Pride, the event gathered more than a dozen contingents, turning the main avenue connecting Mezcales, San Vicente, and the town of El Porvenir into a celebration of pride, activism, color, and diversity.

A very special night was experienced Monday, June 1, 2026, at the iconic LGBTQ+ establishment in Puerto Vallarta, Bar Frida y Restaurante, which celebrated a major milestone: its 25th anniversary. Loyal customers and friends joined founder and owner Tom Finley, General Manager Mike Laking and their fantastic staff for an evening filled with music, tequila shots, drinks, sliders and an à la carte menu.

Sayulita, a Magic Town (Pueblo Mágico) in Bahía de Banderas, was painted in rainbow colors on the afternoon and evening of Friday, May 29, 2026, as it celebrated the third edition of its annual Pride festival. The event featured a parade filled with activism, diversity, music, dancing, folklore, and fun, as well as a block party in front of the Main Plaza. The festival welcomed special guest and crowned queen Lorena D' La Garza—the actress, singer, and comedian who rose to fame on the popular television show La Hora Pico.

More than 200 people gathered Wednesday at the Pool Club at Casa Cupula for the 2026 Duckathon, an annual fundraiser benefiting the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center in Puerto Vallarta.

More than 570 people attended our last Gay+ Mixer of the 2025–2026 season at the LGBTIQ+ luxury resort, The Tryst Puerto Vallarta (Pulpito 138, Zona Romántica), on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. This is a new attendance record, not only for this Gay+ Mixer season but in the history of the event. Attendees enjoyed free drinks and a wonderful ambiance at the hotel's bar and terrace areas. A huge thank you to all the staff at The Tryst and Amaya for welcoming the community into their space.

A new era of wellness has arrived to Puerto Vallarta! Almar Resort (Amapas 380, Zona Romántica) officially grand-opened its new wellness facilities on Monday, May 18, 2026. Doors are now officially open to the community for 888 Connection Wellness, Studio8 Fitness Lifestyle, and the Beat Root Energy Bar.

Dogs dressed in rainbow colors, festive costumes and Pride-themed accessories filled Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas on Monday for the 2026 Vallarta Pride Pet Parade, bringing pet owners and spectators together for one of the more playful events of Pride Week in Puerto Vallarta.

On the evening of Friday, May 15, 2026, activists, local authorities, and community members gathered at the Puerto Vallarta Malecón for a march to observe the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. This global event honors those who have lost their lives to the syndrome, while promoting awareness, prevention, and the fight against the stigma surrounding people living with HIV.

More than 240 people attended the Gay+ Mixer at The Red Door bar (Hamburgo 153C, Versalles) on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Attendees enjoyed a welcome Mango Vodka shot, drink specials and complimentary pizza by nearby Over & Over Pizzeria. Many thanks to our host, the bar owner Kor Prieur Caille.

The Puerto Vallarta real estate community enjoyed a fun evening of socializing and networking during the AMPI Vallarta Real Estate Mixer, held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Donner & Associates agency. The event brought together dozens of brokers, agents, lawyers, and industry professionals who enjoyed a wide variety of snacks, food, and drinks sponsored by the host company, along with music by DJ Pablo Quiñones and the popular game of foosball.

Puerto Vallarta Downhill & Freestyle 2026 kicked off on the afternoon of Friday, May 1, 2026, with 40 elite riders from 10 different countries, who have officially hit the Malecón at a practice and reconnaissance session. These pros couldn't help themselves and blew minds with massive tricks and gravity-defying stunts before the official competition taking place on Saturday, May 2, at 4 p.m.

Attendees enjoyed a Bistro Gin as a welcome drink, Happy Hour specials, complimentary appetizers, music by DJ Alpha-Hore, ice cream by Sueños de Arte and the amazing works of Colombian artist El Chico sin Cabello de Pan.
