Sayulita, a Magic Town (Pueblo Mágico) in Bahía de Banderas, was painted in rainbow colors on the afternoon and evening of Friday, May 29, 2026, as it celebrated the third edition of its annual Pride festival. The event featured a parade filled with activism, diversity, music, dancing, folklore, and fun, as well as a block party in front of the Main Plaza. The festival welcomed special guest and crowned queen Lorena D’ La Garza—the actress, singer, and comedian who rose to fame on the popular television show La Hora Pico.
The event, driven by the organization Sayulita Comunidad Diversa, featured other special guests and ambassadors, including Osiris Orozco, a DJ and chef who participated in the fourth season of the reality show MasterChef México, as well as the festival’s host drag queens, Yaye Monroy and Ariel The Top.
Throughout the night, the block party offered entertainment by other prominent figures from the region’s LGBTIQ+ entertainment scene, such as Mizz Peaches, The Queer Boy, Alex Morán, Yenne Cis, and Demi Cervantes, among others. Following the celebrations in the public spaces, the Sayulita Pride festivities continued with an after-party at the Goat Beach Club, featuring music by DJs Luis Alvarado and Memo Pearls.
