Alberto Cuevas, Puerto Vallarta’s gay singing charro known as ‘El Diamante’, will advance to the top ten finalists of La Vox de Zapopan and perform in a live show from the Conjunto Santander , Av. Periferico Norte 1695, Zapopan, Mexico, on June 25, 2023 at 8 p.m.
Cuevas competed and won in a semifinal round that aired on June 17, 2023 on Video Rola VR Channels 602 and 1602, Meganoticias GDL on channels 151 and 1151.
Cuevas is one of only ten to advance to the finals, and beat out 5,635 contestants, of all genres from the state of Jalisco Como de Puerto Vallarta, San Gabriel, El Arenal, Amatitán, Tlajomulco, etc.

- Maritza Flores, 23-years-old, singing “Pet Me” by Kiki Edgar

- Mafer Santes, 29-years-old, singing “I Confess” by Kany Garcia
- Christy Vazquez, 27-years-old, singing “My Mistake My Fantasy” by Edith Marquez
The semi-finals were actually held on May 11, 12 and 13, at the Constitution Cultural Center in Zapopan. Those shows aired June 3, 10 and 17.
The finals will be broadcasted on June 25 in a live show from the Conjunto Santander , at 8 p.m. You can watch the show on the Video Rola 1602 channel and Meganoticias on the Megacable Cable system. You can also follow it on the facebook pages of the Voice of Zapopan. The Voice of Zapopan will have nationwide coverage in nine million households in Mexico, United States, Central and South America

The winner of the show will receive studio recording time for five songs, singing classes for a year, a photoshoot, recognition and trophy. Second place will receive recording time for three songs, singing lessons for six months, photoshoot, recognition and trophy. Third place will receive studio recording time for one song, for three months, photoshoot, recognition and trophy.
The finalists will get to perform with an orchestra of 14 musicians, three choirs, and coaching from a vocal coach and acting coach.
