Celebrating Diversity: Trans Visibility Day in Puerto Vallarta is March 31

On March 31st, as every year, Puerto Vallarta joins the global celebration of Trans Visibility Day.

This date, marked on the calendar as a reminder of the courage and struggle of transgender people, has become an opportunity to highlight diversity and promote inclusion in our community.

Trans Visibility Day not only recognizes the bravery and resilience of transgender individuals worldwide, but also emphasizes the importance of visibility and respect for their lives and experiences.

In Puerto Vallarta, this celebration has become increasingly important, reflecting the city’s commitment to equality and diversity.Last year, the first Trans Visibility Day march in Puerto Vallarta was organized by various collectives.

This march was a significant milestone in the city’s history, bringing together hundreds of people to show their support and solidarity with the transgender community.This year, due to the upcoming elections in Puerto Vallarta, the different collectives decided that none would sign any of the events held as part of Trans Visibility Day.

Nevertheless, the celebrations will continue as planned.In addition to the march, there will be a series of activities and events to commemorate Trans Visibility Day in Puerto Vallarta.

On Sunday, March 31st, at 9 a.m., the trans flag will be raised at the city hall. This will be an important moment to celebrate trans identity and promote visibility in our community.

The Health Fair, which will take place at Lázaro Cárdenas Park on Saturday, March 30th, and Sunday, March 31st, will offer information and resources on health and well-being for the trans community and their allies.

On Friday, March 29th, La Gata, Forobar, will host a panel discussion with prominent trans activists. This event will be followed by a party called “Bellaqueo Desidente,” featuring music by DJ Tabata 007, starting at 8 p.m.

As part of the weekend activities, there will also be a picnic at Playa de los Muertos on Saturday, March 30th, with a meeting point at Lázaro Cárdenas Park at 6 p.m. It will be an opportunity to celebrate community and diversity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Trans Visibility Day in Puerto Vallarta is an occasion to celebrate diversity and promote equality in our community. Through events like the march, the raising of the trans flag, and social activities, we are demonstrating our commitment to inclusion and respect for all people, regardless of their gender identity.
