As part of World Pride day – a day to celebrate diversity, equality and love in all its forms – crosswalks and Lazaro Cardenas and Ignacio L. Vallarta streets were painted with the Trans flag colors.
Puerto Vallarta Councilor Sara Mosqueda helped Karla Macedo, director of Vallarta Trans Colective, to get permissions and the municipal workers to paint the trans colors in the crosswalks.
Karla and Vallarta Trans Colective got private sponsors for the paint and appreciates the assistance of the director of Citizen Security, Rigoberto Flores Parra; Diana Patricia Iturbide Espinosa, Deputy Director of Roads; and José Ascensión Topete, head of COMUSIDA Puerto Vallarta.
