Organized by the Yvonneka Foundation, this event promises a delightful evening stroll along the Malecón, all in support of the Puppy Paradise dog shelter.

“The first annual last year was a big success,” said organizer Jeff Wilkie. ” This year we will be bigger and better with a sunset walk along the Malecon.

Participants are instructed to gather at Plaza Lazaro Cardenas (the “tile park”) by 6:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024, and check-in to receive their wristbands for the walk. The lively atmosphere will be complemented by music from the talented Yara Di Leo.

In the spirit of pride, attendees are invited to dress themselves and their canine companions in vibrant pride colors or costumes, with exciting prizes up for grabs for the most creatively dressed pairs.

At 7:00 pm sharp, the sunset walk along the Malecón will commence, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and city skyline. Upon returning to the park, attendees will have the opportunity to browse offerings from local vendors showcasing their goods.

“This event is not only about celebrating pride but also about supporting a good cause,” said a spokesperson for the Yvonneka Foundation. “We invite everyone, with or without a dog, to join us for what promises to be a memorable evening.”

So mark your calendars, grab your pooch, and head down to Plaza Lazaro Cardenas for a night of community, companionship, and canine camaraderie in support of Puppy Paradise dog shelter.
