Thousands of people gathered in Puerto Vallarta this week for the 2025 Vallarta Pride parade, an event that city officials and organizers said drew a record crowd.

After the pride parade, the block party began as more than 20,000 people filled the streets of Zona Romantica to celebrate and watch multiple performances on the stage.

As part of the largest parade in the history of Vallarta Pride, Councilwoman Melissa Marlene Madero Plascencia was honored with the “LGBTQ+ Ally of the Year” award in recognition of her commitment to human rights and her key role in consolidating the festival as a platform for inclusion, diversity, and development during its 2025 edition.
