We talk with Mrs. Esperanza Miramontes Vargas, better known as “tía pera” about her taco stand business (she owns the taco stand decorated with LGBTQ colors) on the corner of Ignacio Vallarta and Basilio Badillo.

Being a faithful friend of the community and pampering hungry stomachs. Aunt Pera is characterized by treating the costumers like a family. After 27 years working in the same area she knows very well how to pamper her nephews.

She recently started an online petition to help save her stand/location and not be pushed out. The community responded, and help was received from many in the community. She talks about how that has been resolved. Video is in Spanish with English subtitles.
