The LGBT Trade and Tourism Association, represented by Javier Jimenez, expressed its gratitude to the Puerto Vallarta City Council for having approved the historic agreement for the raising of the LGBTIQ+ flag in four public squares of the municipality.

In a letter addressed to the aldermen and alderwomen, the Association highlighted that the approval of this agreement represents an important step towards the construction of a more inclusive, egalitarian and respectful of the human rights of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

The Association affirmed that this achievement is the result of the collaboration and commitment of various organizations and social actors who have worked tirelessly to make visible and defend the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community in the municipality and throughout the country.

The letter also highlighted that this municipal agreement is another sign that Puerto Vallarta is a city that values and respects sexual and gender diversity, and is committed to guaranteeing the rights and fundamental freedoms of all people.

On behalf of Vallarta Pride and the LGBT Trade and Tourism Association, the letter reiterated the commitment to continue working together for a more just, egalitarian and respectful society for all people.
