The United States has eliminated the need for a Covid test for international travelers, which will come as a relief to those US visitors to Puerto Vallarta.

The announcement was made on June 10, 2022, with the caveat that test could resume should the current Covid-19 pandemic change and the CDC will review the decision in 90 days. The move will go into effect for US-bound air travelers at midnight on Sunday, June 12.

Before the announcement if you traveled internationally, you will had to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You then had to show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight.

White House White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz confirmed the announcement via Twitter.
