A new pride organization has emerged in Puerto Vallarta, and has announced a schedule of events.
In a Facebook post, NuestroOrgullo Vallarta, announced that “OUR VALLARTA PRIDE is an LGBTQ+ festival done by and for the local Puerto Vallarta community, beyond typical circuit parties. We show pride of who we are and what is means to us. Cultural, artistic and recreational events are part of our ′First Edition ′ held during Vallarta Gay Pride 2021.
The organization is separate from Vallarta Pride, which has been organized since 2013 by ACT LGBT A.C. (Asociación Civil de Comercios y Turismo LGBT). That organization had been made up of dues paying businesses and had a volunteer committee that put together the annual festival (read a related story here).
So more events and festival for locals and visitors to enjoy. Nuestro Orgullo Vallarta is planning more cultural and artistic events outside of the club scene.
