Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) announced a historic investment of 25 billion pesos in the 12 airports that operate in the country, of which 18 billion pesos will go to the international airports of Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta for the next 5 years.
The governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez declared that this is a historical investment:
“We had one of the most momentous events for Jalisco in recent times. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) has announced an investment of 18 billion pesos for Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.” he said
The president of the board of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), Laura Díez Barroso, said that GAP will invest in high-impact projects such as the project of passenger and commercial expansion of the Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta International Airports.
“Among the main projects that we are going to execute are the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Guadalajara Airport, which will double the existing square meters, and allow us to build the second runway for commercial aviation. We are sure that this project will mark a milestone in the competitiveness of the State, increasing the hub capabilities of the airport and meeting the needs of cargo transportation in a competitive manner, ” she said.

The works of the investment by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) include the construction of the second runway and a new terminal for Guadalajara Airport. In Puerto Vallarta it will grow to 42 thousand square meters, 15 boarding gates, wastewater treatment plants, under a modern structure, among other details that the governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro released:

Alfaro said that this investment made by the Pacific Airport Group (GAP) is a cause for celebration for the Jalisciences.
