Entertainment venue Incanto has closed at its current location, according to an announcement on Facebook. A new location may be announced soon.
“After six years in our current location on the Rio Cuale, multiple challenges and lots of great memories, it is time to try a new location. We will keep you posted but as of today, Incanto has closed at Insurgentes 109. We look forward to creating more great memories in a new location soon. We will post updates on our Incanto Vallarta Facebook page. Thank you for your support!,” the post said.
Incanto was opened six years ago by Tracy Parks, and has been the site of many live entertainment acts in its large theater (seating around 100 people) and its piano bar. It also offered other activities (Bingo with Aunt Pearl) as well as a restaurant.
But COVID affected it, like most of the live entertainment businesses, and then it was affected greatly by the 2021 flood from a hurricane. But after months of repairs and restoration, it reopened in December 2021.
Parks opened Incanto in 2016, after working for five years managing The Palm.
Incanto Vallarta specialized in bringing together different forms of art in one place, music, theater, comedy, and literary events.
On Sundays they had an Open Mic, where many performers took to the stage and showed their talent, tried new material or just expressed themselves. Its food menu was delicious and prepared by its Chef Jorge E. Hoil offering everything from delicious breakfasts or at night.
