Oscar Almeida's love affair with photography began in his youth, blossoming around the age of 14. "Even back then, before I fully grasped the realities faced by the LGBTQ+ community in Mexico," he recalls, "there was a sense of solace and inspiration I found in capturing moments through the camera." Puerto Vallarta, with its open arms and progressive spirit, offered a stark contrast to the broader Mexican landscape, a fact not lost on the young photographer.
