Officials Outline Plans for Vallarta Pride 2026 at Puerto Vallarta Press Conference
Puerto Vallarta is preparing to welcome more than 35,000 visitors for Vallarta Pride 2026, with organizers unveiling a weeklong schedule of cultural, artistic, sports and social events running May 17-24 under the theme “The New Era: A Very Mexican Pride.” See the full schedule here.
Pride officials outlined the plans during a press conference held Monday, May 18, at Industry Night Club.

The official program was presented with support from the Puerto Vallarta municipal government led by Mayor Luis Ernesto Munguía González. Officials participating in the announcement included Jalisco Tourism Secretary Michelle Fridman, Vincent O’Halloran, manager of Territory and Sustainable City, and Javier Jiménez, president of the Vallarta Pride organizing committee.
Among the featured events are the annual Pride Parade, scheduled for May 21 at 4 p.m., and the Block Party later that evening at 6 p.m., which organizers said will feature Mexican pop singer Fey.

During the presentation, Vincent O’Halloran said Puerto Vallarta continues to strengthen its reputation as a safe, free and inclusive destination for the LGBTQ+ community. Carlos Plascencia, deputy director of Sexual Diversity for the municipality, also acknowledged the support and openness of Mayor Munguía toward the LGBTQ+ community.
Organizers estimate the event will draw more than 35,000 national and international visitors throughout the week.
Additional information and a full schedule of events are available through the official Vallarta Pride website and its social media channels.
