The tourist community maintains the destination as one of the favorites for the international market Puerto Vallarta celebrates its victory in five categories in bronze, of which it was nominated at the Travvy Awards 2023.
These awards, known as the equivalent of the “Academy Awards” in the United States travel industry, honor excellence in the tourism field at an international level, highlighting the achievements of the tourism sector.
The awards received by the green pearl of the Mexican Pacific were:
Best Destination in Mexico
Best Honeymoon Destination in Mexico
Best Culinary Destination in Mexico
Best Wedding Destination in Mexico
Best Tourist Office in Mexico
“It is a privilege to represent Puerto Vallarta in these prestigious tourism industry awards. We are excited by the success that our destination has achieved by winning in most of the categories in which it was nominated, which highlights the importance and relevance of the Port for international markets, thanks to the variety of natural settings, rich gastronomy and the “diverse options for celebrating special events that make the city a unique place,” declared Luis Villaseñor, general director of the Public Trust for Tourism Promotion and Advertising of Puerto Vallarta, upon receiving the awards at the gala held in Greater Fort Lauderdale. The “Travvy Awards” reward the main destinations and travel providers such as: hotels, car rental companies, cruises, airlines, wholesalers, among others; which are selected by their main users and connoisseurs: travel agents.
Puerto Vallarta continues to position itself as one of the main sun and beach destinations in Mexico, keeping it in the top of mind of travelers, mainly in the North American market, remembering that recently the green pearl of the Mexican Pacific was part of the top 10 destinations selected to visit on Thanksgiving 2023 from the travel insurance specialist company, Allianz Partners, managing to position itself in third place for the highest number of tickets purchased for this celebration.
It should be noted that, until the month of September, Puerto Vallarta has received 2,863,800 international passengers by air, which represents a growth of 10.7% compared to the same period last year, projecting excellent results for the last months of 2023.
