Moonlight Theatre at ARTe VallARTa Museo Announces the Launch of it’s School of Theatrical Arts & Performance Space
The stage is set for a new era in Puerto Vallarta’s performing arts scene as the Moonlight Theatre prepares to open its doors at the ARTe VallARTa Museo, nestled within the Art Vallarta Arte Center on Pilitas.
With an ambitious vision and the guiding hand of producer Selena Luna, a seasoned talent manager and writer, the Moonlight Theatre promises to be a beacon of creativity and community engagement.
Luna, with over two decades of experience in live theatre, film, and television, expressed her excitement about the theatre’s launch, stating, “The Moonlight Theatre represents a culmination of passion, dedication, and a deep-rooted love for the arts. We aim to provide a space where artists can thrive and audiences can be captivated by the magic of live performances.”
The theatre’s grand opening will be a spectacle to behold, featuring its inaugural event, a Cabaret Night headlined by the soulful vocals of Diana Villamonte. Scheduled for Monday, April 1, 2024, at 7:30 pm, the night promises an unforgettable celebration of live entertainment, inviting patrons to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Puerto Vallarta.
Beyond its captivating performances, the Moonlight Theatre will serve as a hub for artistic development and exploration. Offering a diverse range of classes including Improv & Comedy, Acting & Auditioning, and Musical Theatre for Kids, the theatre aims to nurture talent and inspire creativity among individuals of all ages.
“We believe in the transformative power of the arts,” Luna remarked, “and our educational programs are designed to empower aspiring artists to unlock their full potential.”
In addition to regular classes, the theatre will host monthly masterclasses led by industry experts, covering a wide array of topics such as Vocal Training, Dance, and Method Acting. Notably, Maru Produ Conti, affectionately known as PV’s Lady Gaga, will kick off the masterclass series with a workshop on Perfecting Performance & Vocals on April 26, 2024.
Moonlight Theatre isn’t just about honing skills; it’s also about providing a platform for artistic expression. The theatre will feature original plays, cabaret shows, and cultural events, offering audiences an intimate and immersive experience that celebrates both tradition and innovation.
