Gouda Gabor, the lost Gabor sister (Hungarian-American socialites and actresses Eva, Magda and Zsa Zsa), has found a new home in the rafters of Nacho Daddy.
In a quaint cabaret type space, Gouda and her musical partner Mark Hartman have opened their new show there, which you’ll find every Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs theater space. Tickets are $400 pesos (you can purchase them at Nacho Daddy or online at www.nachodaddy.mx).
Gabor and Hartman were looking for a new home with the closing of Incanto. Gouda had spent the last five years performing at Incanto (and has also performed at every show venue in Puerto Vallarta including Act2PV and The Palm).
Last year she and the very talented Mark Hartman did the show “Whine and Cheese” at Incanto – but the sudden closing of the show bar left her searching for a new venue to showcase her talents. She landed, literally, in the rafters at Nacho Daddy.
“Say Cheese” blends the best of comedy with Broadway and Pop standards, and Gouda says, “the punchlines are as cheesy as the nachos.”
Gouda performs all of her music live, she does not lip sync. She is a classy broad, with a quick wit. If you enjoy live music and alot of comedy you’ll love her show.
Gouda is an international performer, on television and stage, and now splits her time between Puerto Vallarta and Victoria, British Columbia. Over the years she has shaken her maracas from intimate clubs, to performing for 50,000 of her best friends hosting Canada Day celebrations.
Mark Hartman is a New York-based pianist, coach, conductor, arranger and composer working
in theater, cabaret, and concerts around the world. Mark was the Associate Conductor of Sondheim On Sondheim and Avenue Q on Broadway. Off-Broadway, he was the Music Director for many notable shows including Pageant, Silence! The Musical, Ernest In Love, After The Ball, & Finian’s Rainbow.
In cabaret, Mark has enjoyed a long-time partnership with 10-time MAC Award winner Natalie Douglas. Other cabaret appearances include Feinstein’s/54 Below, Café Carlyle, Birdland, Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and with Michael Feinstein and Natalie Douglas at Carnegie Hall.
