Puerto Vallarta Highlights its Culinary Delights with Upcoming Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica Event
Puerto Vallarta actively promotes its impressive culinary scene by participating in a series of events to heighten awareness for the upcoming sixteenth edition of the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica (VNG).
Encouraging travel during the fall-winter season, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, in collaboration with Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica (VNG), organized media presentations in two key cities: Guadalajara and León. VNG is a renowned event known for uniting the most prominent chefs, including Michelin star recipients and those recognized on the list of the 50 Best Restaurants in Mexico.
Representatives from the media, influencers, and figures from the restaurant industry were invited to these presentations. Attendees were introduced to past VNG events, along with the chance to savor exquisite culinary creations prepared by Puerto Vallarta’s esteemed chef, Salvador Carrillo, owner of the celebrated restaurant La Tienda Grande.
Chef Salvador’s culinary talents were on display at Casa MaRo restaurant in Guadalajara on July 9th and Casa Biznaga in León on July 10th. Diners were treated to a selection of dishes from his menus, showcasing the unique and delightful cuisine of Puerto Vallarta.
The presentations also unveiled the esteemed chefs who will participate in the upcoming VNG, scheduled from October 11th to 18th, 2024, in Puerto Vallarta. This year’s event boasts the presence of the exceptional chef Dani García, the proud holder of three Michelin Stars – two awarded to his restaurant Smoked Room Madrid and the most recent bestowed upon Smoked Room Dubai at the latest Michelin Star Gala.
VNG 2024 promises an unforgettable week filled with immersive experiences in the world of gourmet cuisine. Attendees will indulge in exceptional wines, explore the vanguard of mixology with brand ambassadors, and fully embrace this exciting culinary lifestyle. The event provides a unique opportunity to connect with renowned international chefs, personalities from various countries and states, all within the paradise destination of Puerto Vallarta.
Mr. Luis Villaseñor, director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, emphasized the significance of promoting such initiatives. He highlighted the diverse offerings of Puerto Vallarta, stating, “Through these collaborations, Puerto Vallarta continues to strengthen its brand recognition and connection with travelers. We invite visitors to experience the destination beyond its idyllic beaches and sunshine, and to delve into its other captivating attractions, including the extensive culinary scene and its vibrant events.”
The promotional efforts for Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica 2024 will continue shortly with press conferences scheduled in Mexico City, Tequila, Jalisco at Casa Sauza, and a culminating event at the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center hotel, the official headquarters for this event that unites the restaurant and hotel sectors with food enthusiasts (foodies) for a week of shared experiences and learning from the very best.
