Puerto Vallarta has joined the 2026 World Cup festivities with the opening of the Domosfera Puerto Vallarta on the evening of Saturday, June 13, 2026. The new attraction is located inside the Vibra Jalisco Fan Zone (across from the Agustin Flores Contreras sports unit and next to the Sheraton Hotel) and features projection-mapping shows and will broadcast matches alongside hosting free concerts.
Puerto Vallarta Mayor, Luis Ernesto Munguía González, attended the opening alongside state officials, noting that the project enhances the destination’s international visibility. “Today we are sending a message that tourism development is reaching a new level with this type of project,” Munguía said, while thanking Jalisco Governor, Pablo Lemus Navarro, for his support.
Mauro Garza Marín, general strategic coordinator for economic growth and development in Jalisco, said the Domosfera will help attract higher-profile events to the coastal city. “What Puerto Vallarta has today, absolutely no one else has,” Garza said.
Lorena Martínez Ramírez, director general of the State Entertainment Agency, celebrated the opening and announced a lineup of upcoming events, including a free concert by alternative pop singer Ximena Sariñana on Saturday, July 4.
Jalisco Tourism Secretary, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, emphasized the city’s role in the state’s World Cup strategy, adding that there is no beach destination more Mexican or more prepared for the World Cup than Puerto Vallarta.
