Business owners and their representatives in Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica are invited to attend a free public meeting on Monday, Aug. 10, to discuss the possible creation of a new business association or chamber of commerce and review progress on priorities identified during an earlier planning session.
The second Mesa de Trabajo Zona Romántica (Zona Romántica Working Group) will be held at 6 p.m. at Cheeky Lounge, located at Lázaro Cárdenas 311-C in the Zona Romántica. The meeting is free and open to any Zona Romántica business owner or an authorized representative. You can read about the previous meeting held in July, here.
Organizers say the session will focus on continuing discussions about forming a business council or chamber that could represent the area’s commercial interests while fostering greater collaboration among local businesses. Participants also will revisit topics raised during the group’s inaugural meeting and discuss next steps.
The proposed organization aims to give business owners a stronger collective voice on issues affecting the neighborhood while encouraging partnerships, networking and long-term economic development initiatives.
At the previous working session, attendees discussed common challenges facing businesses in the Zona Romántica and expressed interest in creating a more unified organization to advocate for the district. Participants identified the need for better communication among businesses, stronger representation before government agencies and collaborative efforts to improve the area’s economic vitality and visitor experience.
Organizers said the Aug. 10 meeting will build on those conversations by inviting participants to help define the organization’s mission, priorities and structure. Business owners also will have an opportunity to share the challenges and opportunities they face and suggest initiatives that could benefit the broader business community.
The initiative is intended to be inclusive, allowing participants to help shape the organization from its earliest stages so it reflects the needs and priorities of the Zona Romántica business sector.
