The Puerto Vallarta Gay Men’s Chorus (PVGMC), directed by Adrian Fuentes, will hold its first show at the Cassandra Shaw Starlight Cabaret Theater at Act2PV. That show will feature popular Christmas carols from Mexico, U.S. and Canada. The show “Posada!” will include special guest Tonny Kenneth and starts at 8 p.m. but you’ll want to arrive early and enjoy an authentic taco bar at 7:15 p..m.
The next opportunity will be on Dec. 16 at “La Iglesia de La Santa Cruz” with the Ensemble Vocal Ganymede (Montreal Gay Men’s Chorus), under the direction of Yvan Sabourin. The repertoire will be integrated with classical works from the sacred repertoire of composers such as Biebl, Faure, Saiint Saens, Handel; in addition to traditional Christmas carols from Catalonia, Mexico, Canada and the United States. The show starts a 9 p.m. and tickets will be available at the door. The Church is located at the corner of Emiliano Zapata & Aguacate in Zona Romantica.
Since 2010 PVGMC has entertained with talents of gay men from all over the world including Mexico, the United States and Canada. Funds from these two shows will go towards travel expenses for the choir to perform in Montreal in 2023. The Puerto Vallarta Men’s Chorus is the first gay chorus in Mexico and all of Latin America.
