The most important LGBT Pride festival in the region in which Associations, companies and the entire LGBT community come together to celebrate sexual diversity with tourists and locals: Vallarta Pride announced that the 2020 edition is canceled.
The festival that for 8 consecutive years has brought tourists and locals 7 days of art, culture, concerts, entertainment, cinema, fun, parties and the pride parade, will be canceled this year 2020 due to the importance given by the Organizing Committee to the welfare of the attendees.
“In accordance with the indications of our authorities on COVID-19, social distancing and measures to prevent its spread, Vallarta Pride 2020 is canceled,” the organizing committee announced in a press release.
Likewise, they expressed their concern for the LGBTQ community of Puerto Vallarta, which is being strongly affected by the economic damage of this pandemic by keeping beaches, hotels, restaurants, bars, theaters, galleries and nightclubs closed.
“Thanks to this measure implemented by businessmen from the first week of contingency, we are one of the tourist destinations with the fewest cases detected in the country, we will continue to abide by all the necessary instructions to maintain ourselves as your best option for vacationing,” they declared.
Finally, on behalf of the entire Committee, they invited the LGBTQ community to return soon to this beach tourist destination.
“Puerto Vallarta and the LGBTQ community are waiting for you to come very soon, in a matter of weeks we will be ready for YOU, because Puerto Vallarta is the best LGBTQ beach destination” they said.
The cancellation of the Vallarta Pride 2020 edition “Mexico with Pride” implies that it is not carried out at a later date this year, however the organizing team clarified that no presales were made for any of the events contemplated during the festival.
