The third season of “So You Think You Can Rise” commenced at The Palm Cabaret and Bar on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, featuring a packed house treated to an impressively rehearsed and diverse array of contestants, with Angeloo and The Woolf Proof taking the top two spots and moving forward to the grand finale.
This season’s Round One saw two categories: four vocalists and four other acts. The audience played a crucial role, determining the winners in each category.
The performers in Round One were mentored by Tromba Vetusta, Ale, and Dabit.
Angeloo is a remarkable ten-year-old talent known for singing fluently in various languages, celebrated his win with the exuberance of any typical ten-year-old.
Coached by Maru Prado Conti (Lady Gaga), he has astounded those who watch him perform, despite having only one year of singing experience.
The Woolf Proof K-pop dancers , an all-teenage-girl dance troupe (all are 17-19-years-old), dressed in black initially with a sixth member in pale pink joining midway, captivated the audience with their precision and charisma.
Hosted by drag diva Sutton Lee Seymour (Prescott Seymour), the show maintained a lively pace with beautiful singing. Head Judge Gabe Arciniega, alongside entertaining co-judges Derek Carkner and Tonny Kenneth, provided valuable advice to each performer.
