Half Off Sushi Returns for Monday; Pup Night Introduced for Sunday
STUDS Bear Bar, Puerto Vallarta’s only bear/leather bar, has announced new weekly specials, which include food discounts and special theme nights.
On Monday nights the bar will bring back its very popular 50% off Sushi Night. From 6 to 9 p.m., you’ll be able to have a sushi dinner for as low as $75 pesos for the Avokado Maki sushi (the maximum price for any sushi on the menu is the Orochi Roll or Ebi Roll and each are only $105 pesos with the special).
“Where else can you go and have delicious sushi for as low as $75 pesos?,” said Owner Mike Owens. “We’re excited to bring back the weekly special.”
The sushi night special is only good in the bar and is not available on food ordering apps or takeout.
Sushi Menu:
Ray Roll $190 ($80 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Breaded and fried roll with shrimp, cucumber, cream cheese, chipotle dressing, and serrano ham.
Avokado Maki $150 ($75 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Sushi roll wrapped in avocado, shrimp, cucumber and cream cheese on the inside.
Orochi Roll $210 ($105 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Wrapped in tuna and cream cheese, with cucumber and avocado. Topped with a spicy tuna salad.
Rainbow $190 ($95 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Fresh tuna, salmon, avocado, deep-fried shrimp, and cream cheese
Maguro Roll $190 ($95 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Fresh tuna, cream cheese, cucumber, and avocado with spicy masago. Tuna salad on the top
Ebi Roll $210 ($105 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Deep-fried shrimp with masago dressing, avocado, cucumber, and eel sauce.
Temaki $170 ($85 pesos on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.)
Japanese nori cone with rice, breaded surimi, cucumber and avocado.
Taco Tuesdays
On Tuesdays, STUDS will introduce a new “Taco Tuesday” night from 6 to 9 p.m. You can enjoy three delicious flank steak tacos (flank steak tacos with crunchy cheese, house sauce, onion and cilantro) and a national beer (Corona, Pacifico, or Victoria) for only $100 pesos.
“That is an amazing deal and another reminder to our great customers of some of the fantastic food we have to offer,” said Hector Morales, Director of Operations.
Theme Nights
Bearoke Night, which is held on Wednesday with host Faith Inferno, will continue and if you “sing for your dinner” you’ll get 25% off any food order.
Jockstrap night will continue on Friday nights at STUDS from 9 – 3 a.m.
Downstairs you can catch RuPaul’s Drag race airing live at 7 p.m. (the last episode is set for April 14th)
Leather night will continue for Saturday nights from 9-3 a.m.
And the new, Pup Night, is every Sunday night from 9 – 2 a.m.
“STUDS has something for everyone on just any night of the week,” Morales said.
In addition to food and drinks, the bar has expanded The Gear Shop where you can purchase a harness, jockstraps, and other adult accessories.
A special birthday celebration, ‘Thirst Trap Thursday”, will be held on Thursday, Mar 30, 2023, for drag queen and DJ Jameson Rabbitt, with a full open bar from 8 p.m. to Midnight. for only $500 pesos.
“Yes, that’s correct,” Owens said. “You heard me right. The ‘All You Can Drink’ special includes any house brands and national beers. It’s our way of saying “Feliz Cumpleanos” to our great friend Jameson Rabbitt.
