Owner and designer Richard Romano opened the Puerto Vallarta location in 2023 after relocating from San Diego, where he operated the original SIR & SON store. A former interior designer whose projects took him around the world, Romano turned his attention to fashion with a goal of creating clothing that allows people to express confidence, individuality and fun.
The store’s name reflects its dual personality. The “SIR” collection embraces a bolder, more masculine aesthetic, while the “SON” side incorporates playful colors and styles inspired by fashion trends from cities such as Amsterdam, London, New York and Madrid. The result is a collection that appeals to a wide range of customers and fashion tastes.
What sets SIR & SON apart is its emphasis on exclusivity. Many of the designs carried in the store are unavailable elsewhere in Puerto Vallarta, and some cannot be purchased online. Alongside carefully selected international brands, the boutique continues to expand its own in-house collections featuring graphic tees, tanks, button-down shirts, shorts and seasonal apparel inspired by Puerto Vallarta’s vibrant lifestyle.
Romano has also focused on offering inclusive sizing and styles for a variety of body types, helping customers find clothing that fits comfortably while reflecting their personality.
