A raffle with prizes totaling more than $53,000 pesos is taking place to benefit the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center.
The drawing will take place on Oct. 8 at 11 p.m. at STUDS Bear Bar. You do not have to be present to win – if you win you’ll be notified.

Tickets can be purchased in person at STUDS, Thrive MedSpa and MisterBear or online at this link. If you purchase online raffle tickets will be filled out, and a photo of the tickets purchased sent to you.
One ticket is $10 USD, three tickets for $25 USD; Six tickets for $50 USD; 12 tickets for $100 USD and 24 tickets for $200 USD.
“A lot of these businesses came together quickly to offer such amazing prizes to help The Center,” explained Mikel Alvarez, a board member for the Center and owner of ThrIVe MedSpa. “There are more than $53,000 pesos in prizes.”
The Gay+ Community Center is located at 101 Morelos Street Local 3B, Colonia Centro, (above the Santander Bank by Rio Cuale and the bridge entering Zona Romantica).
Operating hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. and walk-in appointments are available.
Services provided include PrEP, PEP, DoxyPep, and STI testing, all aimed at safeguarding the health and well-being of community members. Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (DoxyPEP) is an antibiotic, taken after sex, acts as a morning-after pill for STIs, further emphasizing the center’s commitment to comprehensive healthcare.
