On October 24, 2024, at a joint press conference held at the International Convention Center, Carolina Orozco from Galeria de Ollas along with Abraham Valle from Galeria Corsica, Karen Jenanyan from Galeria The Loft, and Kristina Kaliamova from Galria Kris, and Sharo Garcia from Colectivo Rompe announced the return of the Art Walk 2024-2025.
As the streets of historic Centro prepare to welcome back the highly anticipated Art Walk for the 2024-2025 season, art enthusiasts and locals alike are gearing up for an enriching experience. Kicking off on October 30th and running until June 25, 2025, this annual event promises to showcase the art scene that has made Puerto Vallarta a cultural gem.
Dating back to 1995, the ArtWalk was established by a long-time resident of Puerto Vallarta, Barbara Peters. It was initially a group of five-member galleries. Before the ArtWalk pamphlet as we’ve seen it, those galleries collaborated to print an art guide. Back then, Centro was a more vibrant neighborhood than Zona Romantica, and people frequently explored the area.
Held every Wednesday evening from 6 to 10 p.m. the Puerto Vallarta ArtWalk invites locals and visitors to explore the town’s diverse selection of galleries, studios, and artists’ cooperatives.
During the ArtWalk, participants can stroll through the streets of Puerto Vallarta’s historic downtown area and visit various participating venues. Some galleries offer complimentary cocktails, fostering a welcoming atmosphere as attendees interact with gallery owners and artists.

In a joint statement, Carolina emphasized the importance of the event and how each gallery has made an artistic impact on everyone’s lives. The gallery owners participating in the Art Walk become aware of the various types of art being showcased. And by visiting galleries during the walk, patrons can stumble on a special piece for their homes or offices, she said.
“The art in our life is a Deep feeling,” Carolina stated. “We the gallery owners are in love with art!”
For the 2024-2025 season, the ArtWalk committee is petitioning for more frequent street fair-type street closures for foot traffic; currently, the ArtWalk has permission to do so once per season.
Beyond the artistic offerings, the Puerto Vallarta ArtWalk is a great way to immerse oneself in the town’s vibrant culture. The event captures the essence of Puerto Vallarta as a hub of creativity, where local and international artists contribute to the town’s ever-evolving artistic landscape.
With its unique blend of art, culture, and community, the Puerto Vallarta ArtWalk remains a cherished tradition that continues to captivate and inspire visitors from near and far.
Come walk the streets of Puerto Vallarta and let the artistry inspire you!
