Friday, July 24, 2026, marked a significant milestone in diversity for the City of Puerto Vallarta. Two events took place – The Municipal President, Luis Ernesto Munguía., signed and agreement with the city; the President of the Comisión Estatal de Derechos Humanos Jalisco (CEDHJ) Luz Del Carmen Godínez González and the síndico of Puerto Vallarta, José Francisco Sánchez Peña.
At the same time, sexual diversity training was being conducted to staff from various offices of the city government by Benjamin Gonzalez Mauricio, Visitador Adjunto de la Quinta visitaduria general, CEDHJ.
Both were initiatives of Carlos Plascencia, subdirector de Diversidad Sexual.
