Vallarta Queer, Colectivo Diverso Vallarta, Movii México, and the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center invite the general public to attend the community photographic exhibition“Presencias” (Presences) on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in observance of International Transgender Day of Visibility.
The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the community center located at Morelos 101, Suite 3B, Centro (above Banco Santander).
The exhibition features portraits of 15 Puerto Vallarta residents who identify as transgender or non-binary, captured in their daily lives without stigma. The photographs, taken by Arturo Valdez Morales of Choche Estudio, will be accompanied by music, monographs, printed materials, and interactive experiences with some of the participants. These elements aim to make the trans community more visible and celebrate their stories through art and collective memory.
The event is organized by Jesse Habacuc Álvarez, Adriana Batista (Vallarta Queer), Mon Terrazas (Colectivo Diverso Vallarta), and Víctor Espíndola (Movii México), with support from the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center.
