Organizers of the Pata Salada Festival officially announced the event’s third edition during a press conference held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at River Café. The festival is set to take place from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19, running from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
This year, the festivities move to Isla del Río Cuale in downtown Puerto Vallarta. The island will host three main stages designed to blend local artistic expression, gastronomy, and regional culture.
Festival founder Beto Sempere and Creative Coordinator Violeta Elizalde noted that the full schedule—to be released soon—will feature painters, muralists, musicians, poets, dancers, and circus performers. Visitors can also enjoy local artisans, food stalls, and craft mixology. After drawing 5,000 attendees to Parque Hidalgo in 2025, organizers expect to double that number this year by utilizing the larger, scenic venue of the island.
VIP Experience
While general admission to the festival is free, the organization is offering VIP wristbands for those seeking a premium experience:
- Perks: Access to a preferred VIP area, open bar during the event, and exclusive activities such as an art class at Le Bistro.
- Pricing: $1,500 MXN (Presale) / $3,000 MXN (Day of event).

The press conference also featured Pablo Gutiérrez (Operations Director), Ale Anaya (Marketing Director of Grupo La Palapa), and Andrei Mihalache (Director of Art Walk Gallery).
“El Rostro de Vallarta” Pageant
The 2026 festival will also host “El Rostro de Vallarta” (The Face of Vallarta), a competition seeking individuals who embody the city’s identity through beauty, public speaking, and stage presence.
- Eligibility: Individuals of all ages who are residents of Puerto Vallarta.
- Deadline: Registration closes Sunday, April 5.
- Prizes: $5,000 MXN (1st place), $3,000 MXN (2nd place), and $1,000 MXN (3rd place).
