On Saturday, July 13th, Beefcakes will host “Mexa Machxs Kiki Ball” that promises to challenge heteronormative masculinity with a display of outfits inspired by the classic Mexican macho. From ranchero machos to cholo machos, attendees will show that even the most macho can be cunty.
The event starts at 8 pm, with a cover charge of $120 pesos. 60 percent of that money will go to the organizers of Ball (+kulones in Monterrey) and 40 percent will cover travel expenses for trans masc NB representatives of the Ballroom community from Puerto Vallarta to attend the Ball at the Municipal Palace of Monterrey. Additionally, sponsors of all kinds are welcome to support this cause.
The judges for the night will be Joshua de Venus, Hija del Sol, and Montoya007, well-known figures in the Puerto Vallarta Ballroom scene. The beloved Mother Culi will be the Chanter, and Dominasty 007 will be our MC.
The categories for the night include in this order: Face, Body, Bizarre, Baby Performance, Performance Open to Everyone, and will culminate with Sex Siren. There will also be a surprise category: Runway with a Twist, featuring both American and European styles.
The event will gather everyone at 8 pm, with LSS starting at 8:30 pm. This Kiki Ball not only celebrates diversity and talent but also underscores the importance of keeping Ballroom culture alive.
