The Sexual Diversity Office of the Puerto Vallarta Municipal Government, led by Carlos Plascencia, in partnership with the Focus on Green school, invites the general community to free English classes taught by instructor Zack de la Cerda. Sessions take place at the Lázaro Cárdenas Park Kiosk in Zona Romántica every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The course is open to the public and is completely free of charge. Registration is now open.
“Students can expect highly participatory lessons with daily activities that focus on the language knowledge especially needed in the workplace,” said Zack. “There is no tuition fee to join the group, but I do ask my students to volunteer their time to help the Sexual Diversity office with its activities.”
Instructor Zack De La Cerda, who founded Focus on Green in 2016, encourages Puerto Vallarta locals over the age of 18 to sign up. The new group welcomes all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. For his part, Carlos Plascencia encouraged the local public to enroll, noting that learning a second language can offer life opportunities and open doors to employment.
Registration Details
To register for the classes, you can message the Facebook pages of the Jefatura de Diversidad Sexual or Focus on Green, or simply attend the sessions at the park.
