On Saturday, April 4, 2026, local actor Edgar Sánchez premiered his new comic cabaret show, “YERBALIFE: The Entrepreneurship Musical.” In this production, he performs in drag as “Dragtora Merry Jane,” a business developer and multi-level marketing (MLM) salesperson. Sponsored by PVRPV, the show will have two additional performances on Saturday, April 11 and 18, at 9 p.m. at ACT2 PV.
According to the creator, “YERBALIFE is an irreverent, provocative, and deeply critical stage proposal that uses biting humor and music to dismantle the rhetoric of wellness, self-improvement, and multi-level sales.”
His character, Dragtora Merry Jane—or “Mari-Juana” to her friends—is a “success” guru leading a motivational conference and wellness product presentation. The audience doesn’t just attend; they are seduced into becoming “Diamond Partners” for the brand the protagonist represents.
This marks the second time Sánchez has brought Dragtora Merry Jane to the stage. “The first time was right after the pandemic ended. The show was born from a course I took during that period on creating cabaret characters with teacher Cez Enríquez. What is being presented now is an updated, fresh, and funnier script that touches on current issues, where every product has its own song,” the actor says.
The show lasts an hour and a half, featuring a structure that blends stand-up, political cabaret, musical parody, and constant breaking of the fourth wall. YERBALIFE transforms the stage into a space of complicity where laughter opens the door to reflection.
Tickets for YERBALIFE: El Musical del Emprendimiento are $300 pesos and are available at the ACT2 PV box office, through their website, or directly via Edgar Sánchez on WhatsApp at +52 (322) 111 4243. For more information, follow Edgar Sánchez on Facebook or Instagram.
