Get ready to raise a toast to Puerto Vallarta’s best. The We Are Puerto Vallarta Awards, sponsored by PVRPV, will culminate in a special event on April 10th, 2024, at El Granero, starting at 7 pm. The community at large and all nominees are invited to attend.
El Granero, C. Fco. I. Madero 333, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico, will donate a portion of the cash bar proceeds to RISE Children’s Shelter. Food will also be available for purchase.
This celebratory evening will not announce the winners across a whopping 25 categories. Thousands of visitors nominated their Puerto Vallarta favorites, with the top three vote-getters in each category vying for the coveted title and a beautiful trophy. Here’s a glimpse into some of the exciting categories:
- Celebrating outstanding individuals: Will Lisa Manoogian and Billy Pilawski (RISE volunteers), Lydia Damato (community volunteer), or Tricia Lyman (founder of “Puerto Vallarta Everything You Need or Want to Know” Facebook group) take home the award?
- Favorite Business Owner: The race is on between Cassandra Shaw (Cassandra Shaw Jewelry), Tim Longpre (PVRPV), and Tracy Parks (Incanto) for this prestigious title.
But that’s not all! Here are some of the other categories to be honored:
- Favorite Jewelry Shop: Albertos Jewelry Shop, Cassandra Shaw Jewelry, or Roberto’s Silver
- Favorite Art Gallery: Contempo Gallery, Dane Gallery, or Qulture Galleries
- Favorite Beach Club (gay oriented): Blue Chairs Resort, Mantamar Beach Club Bar and Sushi, or Ritmos Beach Club
- Favorite Beach Day Club: The Sea Monkey, Sapphire Ocean Club, or Swell Beach Bar
And the party continues!
- Favorite Martini: Garbo Piano Bar, The Corner Bar, or Twisted Palms Rooftop Lounge
- Favorite Place to Get a Drink: La Cantina Margarita, Garbo Piano Bar, La Noche, or Sea Monkey (four nominees due to a tie)
- Favorite Ultra Club: CC Slaughters, Industry Nightclub, or Morelos Bar
- Favorite Gay Bar: Anonimo Video Bar, La Noche, Mr. Flamingo, or Paco’s Ranch (four nominees due to a tie)

- Favorite Piano (solo show): Derek Carkner, Mark Hartman, or Salvatore
- Favorite Live Entertainer (group show): Amy Armstrong, Branden & James, or The Three Tenors
- Favorite Live Entertainer (solo show) Male Artist: Fernando Gonzalez, Kevin Anthony, or Luis Villanueva
- Favorite Live Entertainer (solo show) Female Artist: Amy Armstrong, Effie Passero, or Kim Kuzma
- Favorite Drag Performers (local): Diva Devine, Mizz Peaches, or Super Wendy
