Randy Rodriguez has been named editor and general manager of Out & About Puerto Vallarta.

Rodriguez is a new resident of Puerto Vallarta, having moved from Cancun. He brings with him a vast array of experiences in marketing and digital media.

“I came to Puerto Vallarta on vacation and fell in love with its beauty and amazing vibe,” he said. “I’m excited to become a part of the vibrant LGBT community and looking forward to working with everyone.

He holds a degree in marketing from Universidad Interamericana para el Desarrollo UNID.

Rodriguez started his carrier with Mc Bravos, a startup company started by entrepreneur Abraham Turriza.

“Thanks to the trust that Marco Bravo Fabian (CEO) gave me I started working on company projects in which my role was aimed at maintaining and reinforcing the image of the clients through social networks,” he said. “In 2012 I received the invitation of Olga Martínez and José Trejo to join TRECOM, an advertising company where I supported in the administrative area, as well as in the recruitment of the elements that made up the work team and the capture of new clients.”

In 2015 he joined the social media team of Oasis Hotels & Resorts in charge of the Oasis Palm and Oh! By Oasis accounts, covering the events and updates that took place in the two complexes. And in 2016, he worked as a digital marketing advisor for Candy Ayuso, member of the Congress of his State.

“We are delighted to have found someone with the great qualifications, experience and education to help lead our efforts in Puerto Vallarta,” said Jerry Jones, co-owner and publisher of Out & About Puerto Vallarta. “Randy brings with him some great ideas and innovations that will be of great benefit to our readers and advertisers.”

Randy officially starts his work on May 1, but will be in the office over the next few weeks in training, and will be out and about meeting community and business leaders.

“I can’t wait to get started transmitting the color, the smell, the sound, texture and taste of Puerto Vallarta. Our reporting will be from a fun and inclusive point of view,” he said. “My work is based on honesty. By saying things on time, with tact and face to face generates an atmosphere of trust and good team dynamics. It is the healthiest way to achieve a goal.
