14 years ago Marcus Van Groeningen opened Reinas, a friendly neighborhood bar all about queens – and not the gay type of queens.
With friends, patrons and many well wishers dropping by, Marcus and his staff celebrated on Oct. 5, 2024 with a packed house that kept his bartenders busy most of the evening.
Marcus opened Reinas on October 8, 2010. He had moved to Vallarta from the Netherlands in 2009, and one of his life dreams was to open a bar. He has always loved royalty, and he knew exactly what his future bar would look like.
