Puerto Vallarta receives four important awards during the LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico

Puerto Vallarta has secured four important awards in the LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico 2023.

The awards were held Wednesday, November 8, in which the best in tourism for the group was recognized, bringing together a total of 120 nominated companies from 26 cities.

Puerto Vallarta has clearly established itself as one of the main destinations for pink tourism.

The awards that the green pearl of the Mexican Pacific obtained were:

Beach Destination of the Year – Puerto Vallarta

Hotel Concept of the Year – Almar Resort Luxury LGBT, Puerto Vallarta

Restaurant of the Year – Café Des Artistes, Puerto Vallarta

Ally of the year – Grand Miramar, Puerto Vallarta

“It is a great honor to receive these prestigious awards from the Travel Awards Mexico, we are very happy for the great success that Puerto Vallarta has by being awarded in most of the categories in which it was nominated, once again endorsing the work that “We do for the community by being one of the friendliest cities in the world, which is why pink tourism has consolidated the destination as its favorite,” declared Luis Villaseñor, general director of the Public Trust for Tourism Promotion and Advertising of Puerto Vallarta.

The gala was held in the city of Morelia, Michoacán. The President of ACT LGBTQ AC of Puerto Vallarta, Mr. Javier Jiménez, was also present at the event.

Villaseñor added that according to Quizell Statics, Puerto Vallarta registered a total of 143,523 votes, with 63% of those coming from Mexico, and 37% from the United States and Canada.

“It is a national recognition but we had an international reach,” he said.

The state of Jalisco was recognized in the categories; Admirable Project of the Year, for the Gay Games and Magical Town of the Year, where Tlaquepaque became the winner.

The city of Oaxaca was awarded as Cultural Destination of the Year.

  • LGBTQ+ Boutique Hotel: Nukari Quinta Boutique (Nayarit)
  • LGBTQ+ Romance Hotel: Imanta, Punta de Mita
  • LGBTQ+ Luxury Hotel: One & Only Mandarina (Nayarit)
  • LGBTQ+ Hotel Chain or Group: Citelis Hospitality (Morelia)
  • LGBTQ+ Business Hotel: Sofitel Mexico City
  • LGBTQ+ Airline: Copa Airlines
  • LGBTQ+ Travel Agency: Equal Travel (Guadalajara)
  • LGBTQ+ Restaurant of the Year: Café Des Artistes (Puerto Vallarta)
  • LGBTQ+ Wedding Planner: Oaxaca Ancestral by Nancy Romero
  • Admirable LGBTQ+ Project: Gay Games (Guadalajara)
  • LGBTQ+ ally: Scandal
  • LGBTQ+ Urban Destination: Mexico City
  • LGBTQ+ Beach Destination: Puerto Vallarta
  • LGBT+ Cultural Destination: Oaxaca
  • Magical LGBTQ+ Town: Tlaquepaque
  • Tourist Office: Sectur Michoacán
