My Affair with Emiliano – Before you go

Esta publicación también está disponible en: Español

Before you go, and have a day’s adventure around town, especially if you are on your way to Mismaloya or the Beautiful Botanical Gardens, you can’t miss the chance to buy a quick snack while you ride the bus.

On the corner of Basilio Badillo and Constitucion, you can get tamales, tortas, or pastries; tamales are the best after tacos. I try to buy at least one every week, especially on Fridays ( PS. My dogs love them too ). Just don’t tell their vet, lol.

Back to the thing, if you are ready to jump into the bus and have your day adventure to the botanical gardens, El Tuito, Boca, or Mismaloya, and if you haven’t had breakfast, trust me to get one of those quick Mexican traditional breakfast.

Plus, if you want also to try another traditional Mexican drink, and not tequila, at the Tamal station, the guy sells atole. Still, what is atole: It is a conventional hot corn- and masa-based beverage of Mexican origin. Atole can add different flavors, such as vanilla, cinnamon, and guava. My favorite always is the cinnamon.

Anyway, I hope you have a good day, and please tell me what you think about the tamales, tortas, and atole.
