Friday July 24 is National Tequila Day and what better way to celebrate than to try out a five drink recipes from some popular brands and restaurants with this Mexico original.

Tequila Don Nacho

Tequila Old Fashioned

• 2 oz Anejo Tequila Don Nacho
• ¼ once agave
• 1 dash of Angostura Bitters

Stir ingredients together in an Old Fashioned glass, add ice and orange peel for depth

Tequila Padre Azul

Margarita

• 2 Ox Tequila Padre Azul
• 1 Oz Fresh-squeezed lime juice
• ½ of agave

Put all ingredients in large shaker, pour over ice.

HIBISCUS AND POMEGRANATE MARGARITA

• 1.5 oz tequila reposado
• 1.0 oz controy
• 0.5 oz lime juice
• 1.5 oz hibiscus and pomegranate juice (made with natural fruit)
  Blend together, add ice.
  rim: a mix of local dried peppers, lime, salt and sugar

MANGO AND PASSION FRUIT MARGARITA

• 1.5 oz tequila reposado
• 1.0 oz controy
• 0.5 oz lime juice
• 1.5 oz mango and passion fruit juice (made with natural fruit)
  Blend together, add ice.
  rim: a mix of local dried peppers, lime, salt and sugar

STRAWBERRY FROZEN MARGARITA

• 1 ½ ounces of white tequila
• ¾ ounce of orange liquor
• ½ ounce lemon juice
• 100 grams of natural or frozen strawberries
• 1 teaspoon of grenadine  Ice, to taste

Blend all the ingredients in the blender until you reach the frappe point. Serves in the  glass, adorned with a whole strawberry or  a slice of lemon and two short straws.
