Puerto Vallarta officials will host free community health clinics later this month while also providing training aimed at improving access to healthcare services without discrimination.
The city’s Subdirectorate of Sexual Diversity, in coordination with Sexual Diversity Jalisco, will offer a training session for healthcare professionals titled “Access to Healthcare Services Without Discrimination“ at 3 p.m. Friday, July 24, at the Puerto Vallarta Institute of Technology. Public and private hospitals throughout the municipality have been invited to participate. Registration is available by emailing diversidad.sexual@puertovallarta.gob.mx.
The outreach effort will continue Saturday, July 25, with two free community health clinics offering preventive medical services. The first will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in Las Palmas, followed by a second clinic from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the main plaza of El Pitillal.
City officials said the initiative is part of the municipal government’s ongoing efforts to expand access to healthcare through inclusive and non-discriminatory services.
Mayor Luis Ernesto Munguía González’s administration said the programs are intended to promote equitable healthcare access and improve the well-being of residents throughout Puerto Vallarta.
